IdleMir — alpha test of a new idle MMORPG

I invite you to the alpha test of my idle MMORPG:

https://idlemir.com/

IdleMir is a sandbox MMORPG with an open world in an idle format.

  • Roguelike elements with a focus on skills
  • Deep MUD-style narrative
  • Thousands of locations to explore
  • Events and encounters in the open world
  • Unique character progression
  • A story shaped by your decisions
  • Dozens of activities and abilities

IdleMir is a large world that never rushes you. There is no single path here; the roads diverge. Sometimes it is wiser to turn back. Or to rush forward without looking back — with only what little you managed to keep. You travel on foot, by sea, or by magic, carrying supplies, habits, and the weight of decisions already made.

But the game is not limited to wandering. You can settle down — build a house, acquire possessions, breed animals. And you do not have to be only a warrior, an explorer, or a trader…

IdleMir equally allows for different ways of life — from heroic to marginal and questionable. Besides the traditional lawful-good path, you can survive through theft and deception, developing thievery and stealth, carrying out quiet robberies in places guards tend to avoid. But you can also act in completely different ways — peaceful ones. Artists and musicians earn money on the streets through crafts and performances. Beggars trade dignity for small gains and long-term social consequences. Tavern regulars, dice players, and other rogues gradually learn when to take risks and when to walk away with their winnings. Scholars develop knowledge and languages, gaining access to information and subtle advantages instead of gold or fame.

Or you can hunt for treasures in forgotten lands. Track strange creatures in dangerous places… Or make furniture and raise livestock on your own farm. Master shipbuilding and sail into distant waters. Study archaeology and uncover ancient secrets. Delve into transmutation — turning iron into gold, if you manage to find the formula. Or choose darker arts: summon demons, create golems… and even raise the dead.

The world is unpredictable in everyday details. Hundreds of interconnected skills determine how you survive, travel, and live. Weather, terrain, and local features quietly interfere with plans: roads save time but attract attention; swamps slow you down and consume supplies; mountains block the way without climbing skills; rivers force you to look for detours if you cannot swim or build crossings.

Ruins, caves, cemeteries, obelisks, and forgotten altars are scattered across the world, waiting to be found. Not every discovery looks important. Sometimes it is a shortcut. Sometimes you find a broken bridge. Sometimes a village with strange inhabitants. Sometimes… treasure! And sometimes nothing happens except the miles traveled, the experience gained, and the quiet feeling that the world has moved on because you took a step.

Welcome to IdleMir.
